Alba 600 Thread Count Quilted Comforter

The Matouk quilt arrived in time for the holidays. The quality is unmatchable... in pure Egyptian cotton woven in Italy with a minute small scale textural pattern throughout. Not a floppy blanket, the Alba, with its polished sateen finish, has a certain sturdiness about the fabric as well as serving as a quilt. It is the best of both worlds as are the matching shams.

The color and sheen of the fabric are beautiful! I love the subtle detail and it seems very well-made. It's also VERY large!!! We have a California King and there is plenty to go around. That being said, I was expecting a much heavier quilt. It's very lightweight so would need to be paired with other bedding to give you much warmth. If I hadn't somehow gotten this at such a killer price I would be returning it. For the $600 asking price I would expect a lot more heft. I haven't received the shams yet so the photos aren't of a fully put-together bed but should give an idea of the size and color. The color in the first photo of the whole bed is more true to the actual color. Added to close up to see the detail of the pattern.
