Nice but fragile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The inner material catches on things. Unfortunately I have a bunch ripped out threads from the hood, since that gets caught on brush and tree branches walking through the woods. It is best used with the hood up and ideally another jacket on top of it. Warmth wise it's very good.

This style is designed as a lightweight, breathable mid-layer, which can make it more susceptible to snagging in rugged environments. As you mentioned, it tends to perform best when layered under a shell or outer jacket for added protection.

It has two features that could be improved: the zippers could be a bit more robust (heavier); and the elastic at the wrist is too tight (making pulling up the sleeves difficult).
