Adoxa Bootie

Superior craftsmanship of this Adoxa bootie bar none! I chose this over the Turela bootie primarily due the ridge around the foot and toe areas. This serves as a protective boundary of the leather. Also the calf leather of the Adoxa bootie felt like a stronger leather than the Adoxa that felt more like a softer nappa leather hence making it more durable. The Turela bootie's heel was about 1/2" shorter than the Adoxa but I felt the Adoxa would last longer with less wear and tear issues. Some people have mentioned how the leather of the Adoxa digs into their legs. I found that to be true initially. However, after having worn them several times I've noticed the more I wear them the more comfortable they have become. These Adoxa booties are by far the best investment in a bootie or shoe that I've ever made. I disagree with the other reviewers regarding sizing up, at least that wasn't my personal experience. I have slender feet and ankles which may make a difference. I tried on 3 prs, 1 was a size 6 (my normal size in designer shoes), and 2 size 5 1/2's. The size 6 was slightly loose and each of the size 5 1/2's fit differently - go figure. I was told because these are handmade that every shoe and size will fit differently. Regardless, that was certainly true in my case. So the size 5 1/2 that fit best was the one I purchased. This bootie truly fits my foot like a glove! Granted it took a few wears to soften up the leather around the ankle area but it's been well worth the effort. They are incredibly comfortable and I always look forward to wearing them. Due to the sturdy calf leather and quality craftsmanship I don't have to worry about the leather stretching out. I purchased these awhile back but waited until after I had worn them several times before I wrote an honest review. I hope this helps online viewers.
