Passage Tall Boot

BEWARE!!!, ABEO has chosen to lie. The lining of their Tall Passage Boot is not genuine leather! I have called ABEO and confirmed that they are aware of this!!!It says on the boot and in the description that both the upper and the lining are genuine leather. That is a false statement. Please be aware!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have fat pad atrophy in both heels, as well as periodic plantar fasciitis issues – so need both a very cushioned heel as well as support. Unfortunately the soles of these were too hard for me. But, they were supportive, and so I would have kept them just to wear just at work and change into better shoes for my commute/regular wear – except that they have 2 other major problems that make them unwearable. First, they are just too high; I am tall for a woman, nearly 5' 9", and my legs are disproportionately long – but even for me, they come up partly over my knee caps. This isn't a height that is comfortable to wear. Also, the base of the shoe that comes up around the foot is weirdly hard, to an extent that made it uncomfortable for even casual wear around the house or office. Had it just been the issue that they are too tall, I might have bought a par of the ankle version for work – but now I just think the Passage line whole model won't work. It's a shame, because the sole height and fact that the boots are made of high quality leather made them seem promising.

I absolutely love the style, comfort, and general fit of these boots except for the calf. The opening is literally enormous. I have average to slightly large calves and yet there is a huge gap around my calves. There’s an adjustable strap on the back to tighten, but it’s useless. It doesn’t get anywhere near tight enough and there isn’t even enough velcro. Plus they look really in the back when tightened. I have to return.
