The one thing my grandfather taught me, was to never skimp on 2 things, your shoes and mattress. I believe that’s especially important for a rapidly growing foot! It’s hard to spend over $50 on something your child may only fit into for 6-12 months, but to me, this shoe is the right investment for my daughter’s developing feet. They’re extremely supportive and comfortable, and feel just like my OC’s to touch. Sometimes the children’s versions feel lighter or cheaper and these don’t. The Zephyr color (pink) is even better in-person, like a muted rose or ballet slipper color. They’re easy on/off too. I’d say they run a little small since my daughter just entered a size 10 and the 10.5 in this style almost fit her. So happy to have another option for a good athletic shoe, outside of Nike and Adidas!

The bungee cords fell out after very little use. Very poor quality at this price point. I am avoiding in the future for my kids and myself.

Active Child Review
The shoe garners a lot of compliments and my daughter (7) likes the easy of putting them on. The biggest downfall is that the laces are just one long string knotted at both ends. The knots constantly come undone and I have to re-tie daily at this point. It makes the shoe look broken and cheap. I would say it doesn’t hold up to children wear and tear as the blue part is splitting at week three.

Poor quality after one month of ware.
Bought these in blue for 6 yr old and pink for daughter age 7. Both pairs were comfy and cute but both pairs after one month and had worn down , shoelaces fell out while children were running, and Velcro did not hold up. Always used to buy from target but anticipated spending more for them to withstand a bit longer but unfortunately did not.

Look. First off, the shoe is great. Fits well, durable, nice looking, and comfortable. It’s close to perfect. However, the elastic shoe laces came undone to the point that I had to hot glue it together to keep it from coming apart.

Swiss engineering??
I really wanted to live these. They are super cute and very lightweight. The quality just isn’t there though. Maybe it’s a design /construction flaw and next gen will be better? My kiddo wanted yellow shoes so got these. After 3 weeks of wearing (not even every day wear!) this is what they look like. On one shoe the lace completely fell out. I tried reinforcing the knot at the end of the lace to prevent this but it ended up falling out anyway. Seam is fraying on the other shoe. At this rate they are not worth 100 bucks. Will be returning.
