Back Magic^® High Waist Shaping Thigh Slimmer

This TC "Shape Away" high waist shape wear is my new favorite. I have other items of shape wear including the brand that most people think of when they think of shape wear but this TC brand beats them all! It is very well made, comfortable and most of all does the job. My first time wearing it was for my granddaughter's wedding. I put it on at 2:00 in the afternoon and didn't take it off until almost midnight that day. It was never once uncomfortable and it made my dress fit like a dream.

I purchased two pairs of these two years ago and LOVED them. I needed to replace and purchased this year, and did not know the item had changed. The two bony things in the back are horribly uncomfortable and make it almost impossible to pull the slimmer up! Also the leg hems with the interior gripper strips are not as good as in the older version. What happened? This revision/update ruined the product for me!

Wore this under a form fitting formal dress and it smoothed everything out perfectly without rolling down or looking bumpy. It was surprisingly comfortable and smoothed without feeling constricted, more like supported. Got to enjoy the evening without worrying about a thing! I usually wear size 2 (5’2 118lb) and I ordered the small.

I ordered based on the size guide. I’m a 10/12 = L. I could not get them above my knees! I don’t know if these are mismarked or if the guide was wrong. They look great, made well. It won’t roll down bc of the two long stays sewn in - they stand up on either side of your spine from your back bra line to well below the waist. If I tried to put these on every day, in a month, I wouldn’t need to use them! What a workout. I’ll need to send these back for the XL.

I really am not a fan of shapewear generally because they create more problems than they solve. Bulge middle of the back... Line on the thighs, not to mention uncomfortable moments spent adjusting, pulling & tugging. This one that's not the case. its thin enough for comfort & less bulging but provide enough compression to help with problem areas. The most awesome part is the boning in the pack. Not only it makes the waste look small but also it keeps the waste up & prevent it from rolling down. I love it & highly recommend it!

I’m not sure how anyone would like these shaping shorts. The two boning sticks in the back are insane! They stick out and you can see and feel them on your back. What dress could you possibly wear with these shorts? Only a flowy, non fitted dress would hide the boning, then what’s the point. Also beware- you can’t even try them on without yanking the tags off when pulling them on. Although, once I got them on they felt fine and tight but I had to pull them back off because of the boning. I thought everyone that I hugged that evening would feel it on my back. Next time I will make sure I read all the reviews before purchasing.
