260 Quantum Merino Wool Hooded Jacket

Daily mid-layer to throw on for any outdoor activity - skiing, boating, hiking, camping. This is the 2nd one I've had, wore the other one to the bone over 6-ish years of hard use. Wool never smells bad, pockets are great - especially the chest pocket on this new model. Nice high neck with it zipped all the way up. Great for long arms. Love the thumbholes and it's super cute.

My wife has worn this for casual wear for the last 6 months. She has been comfortable in both cool and warm conditions, inside and outside. It has worked very well for travel. The warmth/weight ratio is excellent, as expected for merino wool. The hoodie looks nice as well. Moreover, it is well made. Some merino products I've purchased end up twisting after washing, even if I use cold gentle cycles and dry flat. None of that with this Icebreaker hoodie. Multiple washes and it looks great, no twisting or seams coming apart. My wife has not yet used this for any active outdoor adventures, but I would not hesitate to take this out for cool weather activities. It seems best for a temperature ranging from 50-65 deg F with a light shirt. It would work for temperatures in the 30s and 40s with a long-sleeve medium weight shirt.
