14K Yellow Gold Candy Drop Earrings

I purchased these earrings on sale because I was looking for a a larger gold earring but not too large, right? These earrings look pretty on the ear and are remarkably light if you are concerned about weight. However, they are very chintzy and cheap. The metal is very thin, making them light but if you dropped an earring and accidentally stepped on it, you would severely damage the earring. The earrings have a clasp on a hinge to secure the post in the ear that wobbles, making it difficult to secure the earring. You could easily lose an earring not realizing that you didn’t properly latch the post. I give these 1 star for quality and 5 stars for looks. Not worth the price even on sale.

Not taking into account that this is solid gold I wanted to share that these look beautiful on the website. I am not sure if I received a defective item but the craftsmanship is poor because the clasp doesn’t align with the post so I can’t put the earring on without my husband doing it for me. One side is ok but the other one is impossible because of the crooked hinge alignment. Super bummed. I was traveling and missed the exchange deadline but I wanted to provide honest feedback in case this helps someone else with their purchase decision.
