14K Gold Layer Me Clasp

I purchased this layering necklace clasp from Oradina, expecting solid quality given the brand and the retailer’s reputation. Unfortunately, the clasp broke the second time I used it. To be very clear: I opened it once to put it on, and the second time to take it off, that’s it. No excessive use, no force, no repeated opening and closing. After only two uses, the clasp failed completely. When I shop at Nordstrom, I expect better craftsmanship than this. If I were buying from a lower-priced or fast-fashion retailer, I might expect this level of durability, but not here. For an item sold at this price point, the clasp should absolutely last more than two uses. I’m very disappointed and now have to return it, with no clear option for repair or replacement. Just a heads-up to other customers: be cautious with this item.
