We urge our customers to be cautious with personal and account information.
If you think that you may have disclosed your personal or account information in error, or that you have been a victim of fraudulent account activity, please contact your bank and/or credit card company immediately. You may also wish to contact a credit reporting agency.

Please know that Nordstrom would not ask for your account information through email (phishing) or text message (also known as SMShing) communication. If you receive an unsolicited email or text message requesting personal or account information that appears to be from Nordstrom or related to your Nordstrom account, please call us at 1.888.282.6060 or forward it to onlinefraud@nordstrom.com. We take these matters, and the protection of our customers' sensitive information, very seriously.

To help protect yourself from possible email scams:

Avoid urgent requests to click on a link and log in to your account because your password has expired. Be aware of the urgency used in the email or text message and the consequences resulting in lack of action: Does it demand attention and indicate there will be consequences if the recipient does not take action? If so, this could indicate that the email is fraudulent.
Look closely at the sender's email address in the "From" line, which may contain unusual characters or misspellings. Suspicious emails often appear to come from legitimate sources.
Watch out for errors in grammar, word choice and sentence structure. You should validate any emails or texts that seem out of place or contain glaring errors.
Check for broken, out-of-place, or incorrect images or graphics that are often different than those seen on the business's legitimate website.
Note if the request seems out of character. If personally identifiable information is requested, check the business's privacy policy to see if it states that they do not request information in this manner.
Do not provide your personal log-in information (your log-in ID or password).
Be wary of embedded hyperlinks by hovering your mouse over the link and verifying if the hyperlink and URL match. Instead of clicking on the hyperlink, open a new browser window and type in the URL. Do not copy and paste the URL from the email into your browser. For more information about phishing visit:

Customer Alert: Fraudulent Messages/Texts Impersonating @Nordstrom Beauty

We have recently learned of multiple accounts on Instagram misrepresenting Nordstrom Beauty by using “NORDSTROM BEAUTY” in their titles/handles. (Example: @selection.nordstrom.beauty) The accounts use infringing handles and posts to mimic Nordstrom Beauty sweepstakes/giveaways and deceptively alert users that they have been selected as a winner, causing confusion and misleading customers to believe they have won a prize. Some of these fraudulent accounts/messages request personal information such as contact name, address, email, and provide a link to websites that may be deceptive, malicious, or used for phishing activity. These social media accounts are not sponsored by or affiliated with Nordstrom in any way. Please note: all winner notifications will come from Nordstrom Beauty’s official account @NordstromBeauty—be sure you are on an official Nordstrom Beauty account before responding to direct messages. Do NOT provide any personal information or click on any links if you cannot confirm the message is from an official Nordstrom Beauty account.

Customer Alert: Fraudulent Emails Impersonating Nordstrom/Nordstrom Beauty

We have recently learned of fraudulent emails being sent by nordstrombeauty[.]co (please note .co instead of .com) and appearing to be from "Nordstrom Beauty" (examples of sender: affiliates[@]nordstrom.co, support[@]beauty.co or rakuten[@]beauty.co). The emails are impersonating Nordstrom by referencing a "Nordstrom Beauty Influencer and Affiliate Program." They may ask you to purchase a Nordstrom gift card and send it to them or ask for documentation providing personal information. The website is not owned by or associated with Nordstrom, and these are not valid Nordstrom email addresses. Please DO NOT send any confidential information to the email attributes or purchase and send gift cards to the entity.

Customer Alert: Deceptive Social Media Accounts

We have recently learned of multiple pages on Facebook and Instagram misrepresenting Nordstrom Rack by using “NORDSTROM RACK” in their titles/handles. They are using these infringing posts to promote various products, including designer items such as Louis Vuitton handbags. Some of the social media pages are taking orders, which is causing confusion with customers thinking they are ordering from Nordstrom Rack. They may also be linking to deceptive and malicious websites or may be used for phishing activity. These social media accounts are not sponsored by or affiliated with Nordstrom in any way. We are concerned that customers trying to reach a legitimate Nordstrom Rack social media page may reach these by mistake. Please be sure you are on an official Nordstrom Rack social page before ordering or providing any personal information.

Customer Alert: New Deceptive Nordstrom Websites

We have recently learned of the websites www[.]nord-fashion[.]com, www[.]the-nord-store[.]com and www[.]thenordstore[.]com, which are causing confusion with customers thinking they are related to Nordstrom. These websites are selling merchandise that appears to be somewhat similar to Nordstrom, and visitors to the sites could get the wrong impression that they are associated with and/or authorized by Nordstrom. The websites are connected with social media accounts on Instagram: [@]thestorenord and Facebook: Fashion Nord. We are concerned that customers trying to visit Nordstrom.com or one of our social media pages may reach these sites by mistake. Please be aware that these websites and their related social media accounts are not affiliated in any way with Nordstrom.

We have recently learned of two new deceptive websites, www[.]thenordstrom[.]com (please note the "the" before "nordstrom") and www[.]nordstromco[.]com (please note the "co" after "nordstrom") that are using the Nordstrom name without the consent of Nordstrom. We are concerned that customers trying to visit Nordstrom.com will reach one of these sites by mistake. These deceptive websites are selling Oakley products and are not using an https secure checkout. Visitors to these sites could get the wrong impression that these websites are authorized by Nordstrom when they are not. Please be aware that these websites are not affiliated in any way with Nordstrom.

If you have visited either of these websites and shared any of your personal information by phone or web, please contact the Nordstrom Privacy Department at 1.866.554.6591 to let us know. We also recommend you take precautions to safeguard your personal and financial information. This would include contacting a credit reporting agency and/or your bank to assist you with credit or account monitoring.

We encourage you to continue to protect yourself from online security risks or scams. Once again, here are some suggestions of ways you can protect yourself:

Use complex passwords (a minimum of 7 alpha/numeric cAsE sEnsitive characters)
Do not use the same password on more than one website
Do not share your password with others
Change your passwords frequently
Install the latest security updates and antivirus software on your computer to help prevent malware and viruses
Sign out/log off website sessions so that your session is closed and cannot be accessed by another user on the same computer, especially when using a public computer or terminal

Customer Alert: Phishing Phone Calls Using Nordstrom Telephone Number

We have recently been made aware of customers receiving phishing telephone calls allegedly from Microsoft, which appear to come from a Nordstrom telephone number 206.454.1212.

Please be aware that although this phone number displays the Nordstrom name, the caller is not from Nordstrom nor are they affiliated with Nordstrom in any way.

Phone phishing schemes like this attempt to collect your personal information under false pretenses.

In this case, the caller will say that they are from Microsoft and need to look at your computer or will offer a $10,000 grant in exchange for personal information. Please do not allow the caller to log into your computer or provide any personal information to them.

If you have received one of these calls, have allowed the caller to log into your computer or have shared any of your personal information please contact the Nordstrom Privacy Department at 1.866.554.6591 to let us know. We also recommend you take precautions to safeguard your personal and financial information. This would include contacting a credit reporting agency and/or your bank to assist you with credit or account monitoring.

Customer Alert: New Deceptive Nordstrom Rack Website

We have recently learned of a new deceptive website, www[.]nordstomrack[.]com (please note the misspelling, no “r” after the "t"), that is using the Nordstrom Rack name without the consent of Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom. We are concerned that customers trying to visit Nordstromrack.com will reach this site by mistake. This deceptive website is capable of redirecting visitors to other sites, including malware sites or sites that ask visitors to complete a survey or a green card lottery. Visitors to this site could get the wrong impression that the survey is authorized by Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom when it is not. Please be aware that this website is not affiliated in any way with Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom.
