These shorts surpassed my expectations I had when ordering. They fit great, stretch when called upon to, are good for hiking/biking and dry super quick on the river. True to size as well with internal sinch.

I wanted to love these shorts but, the pulls in the fabric are a killer for me
I have multiple Prana shorts and have always found them to be the highest of quality. However, I did find that after the first time wearing the Stretch Zion Short II that there were small pulls in the fabric on the thighs. I'm not destructive with my shorts so this came as quite a surprise. The fabric is soft and flexible, making them extremely comfortable to wear. The fit is excellent and the button design, although not metal, is solid and strikes me that it would last much longer than any sewed-in button.

Awesome travel/hiking shorts
I took these shorts traveling to the jungle near San Ignacio, Belize, expecting to switch into lighter fishing/sun shorts the next day. On day 5 I still had not changed out, and realized bringing a second pair of shorts was overpacking.

Great fitting shorts! But not-so-great material due to pilling.
I bought several pairs of these shorts, in both the 10 inch and 12 inch version, because I once had a couple of pairs of the older generation back when their material was heavy cotton and I really appreciated their fit and durability.
The fit of this new generation of shorts is just as good, I have to say!
And these shorts were well on their way to becoming my favorite ever.
But what really disappointed me is the material which, after about 2 months of use, has exhibited a lot of pilling in the crotch area.

Awesome shorts up for the task!
I absolutely love these shorts. I found myself in an intense, physical fitness activity that I would have normally worn gym shorts for, but these shorts met the task with durability, comfort, and range of motion. I will absolutely be buying another pair! The color is a bit darker than I prefer.
