Effortless Cutout Back Hybrid Dress

The reviews on this dress were so good- it just didn't work for my body type. I ordered the cream color and the top part shows every bump/roll. I have a short torso so that part that comes down in the front came down too low on me and wasn't flattering on my stomach. The material is amazing, so light, and soft. I could see wearing this traveling, on the go with kids, etc. I wanted to love it, but it wasn't the right style for me.

I love the look of this dress but it arrived with makeup stains all on the front of it and the best solution the Nordstrom team offered was to have it dry cleaned or I could jump through a million hoops to have it returned. I am so disappointed because it is sold out in my size and it’s a super cute dress but at this point after all the headache I just want a refund. I offered to even send pictures but in the first place I just wanted to be sent a brand new dress not one that was stained I am shocked that a team member still had the audacity to send it me even though it is damaged. I have been a customer for years, I will never purchase another product from this store after the poor customer service I received.

Got this on sale, and got a size S because it was the only size left though I’m typically an XS. I figured if it was too big, I’d just have it altered. To my surprise, it fits. I may alter the length though cause it’s pretty long on my 5’1 3/4” petite self. I think it would look cuter as a slightly above knee length dress. If I don’t alter the length, it would still be wearable though. The thing that made me give this 4 stars rather than 5 though is that you can kind of see the outline of the removable pads in the cream color. I think they call it “grey moonbeam,” but it’s a light cream color in person, and I think it looks the same online. I plan to just replace the pads with my Cakes inserts instead, and it should be just fine. I’m about 105-107 lbs. and a 32D natural breastfed 3 babies chest (meaning not a lot of volume up top). So if you have a 32D chest or bigger, I’d suggest sizing up one from your regular size like I did. If I had a smaller chest, I think my normal size XS would have been good. For reference, I’m usually a 25/0 in jeans/pants and XS in tops/dresses. HTH!

Material & flow of the dress is beautiful. However the cut/angle around the waist was weird on me and seemed to accentuate my hips, making them “jut out”. I’m also 5’3” and it was a little too long. Wish they had petite sizes, as maybe both of my issues may not have been a problem. I returned the dress.
