zipper issue?

I bought this jacket at the Nordstrom store in Indy. I tried on the medium and small jackets and had trouble with the zippers on both. I tried it on at home and still having trouble! I love the color and the matching pants are very comfortable but not sure I'll keep the set due to the troublesome zipper.
