Amazing Crewneck Sweatshirt

I thought I was going to love this Zella sweatshirt. It's soft and cozy and I love the pockets (which are lined, by the way). But the sizing is too big and the colors weren't great. I think the pink was too dull and not great for Fall and the lighter color that I thought was more white is really like an speckled oatmeal and didn't love that either. The gray was fine but I had a Zella sweatshirt from last year's anniversary sale in the same color. As for sizing, I'm 5'1 and the xs just looked too big and wrong. Sadly I returned.

I purchased 2 of these. 1 black and 1 light purple. Let me start with the sizing. I am 5’’7” 36dd (enhance) 31 waist 39-40 hips. They are 100% true to size. I went to the store and tried on both colors in medium and large. I first went for a medium because I didn’t want it to be too big. But after trying on a large I decided it looked better than the medium. Which is true to size. The style is very cute. As far as the bad reviews on sizing or style I don’t understand. It’s not boxy on me. It’s on the longer side def not short. If you get your size, the pockets are not in a bad spot. I’m assuming others may be shorter or taller and that may have a affected the size of the sweater and how it looked Henderson the bad reviews. They also may have got a smaller size. If you are very skinny from the waist down you could size down. If you are very tall it may be boxy. But you’d have to be over 5’9” or taller and have a very long torso. Ok so now for the quality.. So the black one is made of a better material than the purple. The heathering in the purple, grey and cream colors are a material that pills. I washed them on gentle inside out and the very first wash I notice pilling on the purple but nothing on the black. So I’m not sure, I may return if I can because it should not be pilling at the $70 cost. This is a 29$ sweatshirt as it stands. It does have a very soft, cozy furry lining inside that makes it warm for very cold winter months and the only thing that sets this aside from a regular sweatshirt. If you can get this on sale, it’s worth it and I’d suggest the black if you want no issues with the material. Or the dark purple color. I hope this helps. ;)
