Z1 Classic Sandal (Women)

A physical therapist recommended Chacos for the arch support. It's firm, placed right for feet, and helps to align the rest of body. I also need and appreciate the wide width which is hard to find in any footwear. Easy on. Easy off. Since the strap adjusts easily, I wear the Z/1 Classic Wide-Width Sandal year round with heavy wool socks during Pennsylvania winters. I just purchased a third pair even though I still wear the first pair purchased 3 years ago (different colors).

I am enjoying my Chacos! The black color matches with most all outfits. They're overall comfortable and have not given me blisters or much difficulty. I've noticed they're a bit longer than I expected, given that I've ordered Chacos before and try to stick to the same size. So I've had some difficulty figuring out the best placement for the straps so my feet feel supported. Given my previous experiences with Chaco, would totally recommend to a friend.

I love love LOVE my chacos! This is my first new pair I’ve ever gotten and I couldn’t be happier! They fit great, are super comfy, and have so much versatility. I ordered size 7 and they fit just right, especially with the adjustable straps. I fully expect these to last me a whole other lifetime.

I had my original pair of Chacos for probably 15-20 years, and they were perfect, but the footbed started to crack a few years ago, so I bought the Mega Z/1 Wide-Straps. I loved those, too, but the tread is pretty much shot at this point (lasted less than half the time of my originals). When they started to hurt my knees when I wore them for too many hours at a time, I bought the Z/2 Wide-Widths, and I do NOT love those. The newer footbed material is much more rigid, the toe strap strangles my big toe within about an hour (I have to constantly readjust the straps), and the strap is way too long - so much so that it drags on the ground. I finally decided to buy some new Z/1 Wide-Widths, so I wasn't dealing with the toe strap issue anymore, and I feel like the footbed changed yet again. The instep is now higher, the footbed is rigid, and the strap is even longer. No, I didn't order the wrong size. Lengthwise and widthwise, they're fine. It's the super-high instep that is uncomfortable, and the strap is so long that I have to figure out what to do about it. I did see a video on Reddit suggesting rolling the strap and tucking it under the buckle. But seriously? I shouldn't have to find a solution for this when I have the right-sized shoe. I don't like the fit or velcro on Tevas, and I haven't found anything better than Chacos, but I am so disappointed in the changes that have been made. Why fix what wasn't broken in the first place?! PLEASE bring back the original fit, materials, and design!
