How to use: Begin by applying the lightest matte or satin shade as a base all over the eyelid using the sponge applicator and blending with the brush. Add the deepest shade above the upper lash line or into the outer corner, blending toward the center of the lid for enhanced depth. For a sparkling effect, use the metallic shade or shimmer topcoat on the center of the eyelid or the inner corner, applying with your fingertip or sponge applicator.

Gentle colors, gentle formula
Very nice, neutral, gentle colors, suit very well my neutral light-medium olive skin tone. Most colors look very punchy against my coloring and happily these are gentle and neutral. It will probably also suit very light skin tones if they are going for a light look. The formula is soft and needs gentle bristles and a gentle touch. The second color from left to right is a matte, the third color is a matt with some sparkles in it but it still acts as a matt and is not hard to use.

Sadly no pigment and dry crumble
So sad to say this is a total waste of time and money. The formula is so powdery/dry, crumbles after one swatch attempted use in pan and no adhesion to skin. With multiple brand primers tried there was no color pay off and any color there is (faint color) fades away on skin contact and two of the shades (lavender and champagne) turn into strait glitter. So disappointing as was hoping this would be the perfect neutral feminine eye look daily friendly. So sad! YSL/ L’Oréal USA please do better for the price point, we beg of you!

disappointed!!!
I am very sorry that this mini clutch eyeshadow is not what I expected the pallet came damaged and I think not from shipping it’s just not right cheap material and glue that I saw it coming out the first minute I received it.. then the shades are so so so similar!!! Like all I can get is sparkling everywhere..
I will return it not paying almost 70$ for this..
so sad I wanted to like it ..

This is gorgeous. It reminds me so much of Charlotte Tillbury’s pillow talk quad. But this formula is so much better. I recommend this palette for sure. A little fall out from the glittery shade but nothing terrible.

Beautiful color story
I was a little hesitant due to some negative & lukewarm reviews. I found it to be subtle, fresh and very appropriate for spring. It not dramatic, but it is very pretty. I didn't have any issues with building up color. Based on the shades I did not expect anything "in your face". There wasn't much fall out. I'm very pleased with the look. The price was a little high, but it is luxury beauty. I'm not disappointed dat all.

This Valentine's Collectors palette from Ysl is absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy I decided to splurge on this for myself. I tried to capture the shimmers for y'all but my phone is not doing the pics any justice. There's a shimmer matte shade at the bottom left corner which is so pretty. They feel like silk. Such a worthy palette if you like softer glam looks. This is a one & done for me but you can always bring in other palettes if you like more bold looks. The shimmers are sparkly but not glittery. With a regular eyeshadow primer (p Louise) there was no fall out through my day into night. I love mauvy tones and that's exactly what I got from this quad.
