Details & care
What it is: A decadent fragrance that captures the overtly sensual spirit of the original Opium Eau de Parfum in a lighter spray form.
Fragrance story: Striking notes of mandarin and bergamot are made mystical with middle notes of myrrh and jasmine, while a final accord of deep opoponax rounds out the scent.

Opium Perfume
I have used Opium "perfume" for years. What was sent to me was a very poor substitute. It didn't even smell like the eau du toilette. Nordstrom sent the product but the product quality was most definitely not up to par.

Very nice
At first I was taken aback that this old classic had been reforumlated. I had decided I didn't like it...it is not as strong as the old Opium, I actually put on about eight squirts of the eau de Parfum, whereas with the old Opium I would have needed about three sprays to last me all day.
However, after wearing it for a few weeks it is still my favorite and the best perfume I've ever worn. I was afraid no one could smell it, it seems so subtle, but someone hugged me the other day and said, "OMG, you smell awesome!" : )
I would have given it five stars, but it isn't quite as good as the old formula of Opium. : (

The Good Old Days
I bought OPIUM because I loved it as a young girl and remembered it. Could not find it any place until I received an email from you -- and lo and behold -- there it was!
The scent is as wonderful as I remembered!

Warmth in a Bottle
For many women, Opium will be a love it or hate it fragrance. For me it is love, in line with my love of spicy/woody/warm fragrances. While the fragrance has been tweeked throughout its history, it nonetheless holds true to its elegant, warm, sensual bones. Scent smells much stronger from bottle than it does on my skin, so don't feel that you'll be overpowered by it. I love it equally upon application and dry down. An oldie and a goodie!
