Lines Liberated 24HR Waterproof Eyeliner

I have tried SO MANY eyeliners over the last decade in pursuit of the perfect one. You know the drill…most aren’t pigmented enough or don’t have the staying power or lack blendability; some too dry, too fluid, skip over the delicate skin, too smudgey too too tooo… I’ve tried many high end brands as well as a few drugstore ones, and generally have avoided pencils I have to sharpen, but have tried a fair few of these too. I’ve had this YSL pencil a few months now and it’s as silky as it was out of the box. It has fantastic pigment and doesn’t skip or flake. The attached brush actually works! I’m able to blend out the top edge and gentle wing, while maintaining a hard line on the bottom. I use with NARS eyeshadow primer and Bobbi Brown shadow stick in Opal as my daily go-to look. If I’m punching up, I add powdered shadows on top of this base for a curated look or Sisley Phyto Eye Twist in 7 as a subtle contour (although the perfect shade, I do find this product a little challenging to blend). There have been a time or two where life is so fast paced, I’ll do my skincare routine around my eye makeup and I’ve gotten 3 days out of my eye makeup up with only minor touchups. Not recommending this, but it demonstrates how well this formula wears without irritation. I have sensitive eyes that irritate easily and this is silky smooth and non-irritating. I do add Dolce & Gabbana Ever Ink to give me a super crisp line at the bottom, but it would not achieve my desired eye look on its own. The hunt is over. I’m super happy with my YSL eyeliner and actually look forward to using it rather than having to work up the mental fortitude to fight my eyeliner into place and symmetry.
