So cute and comfy But size up a tad

I love the sentimental throwback style with the slight detail of pattern that reminds me of a slightly academic pair of Fleuvogs. Very comfy, but stiff at the heel and will require a bit of breaking in. I’m a solid 8.5 and they fit perfectly, if not a bit tight because the upper is stiff coming out of the box. The description said whole sizes only, size down. But, I got an 8.5 and would have tried a 9 if they had it.
