Women's Strapless Brocade Midi Dress with Pockets

I ordered three dresses from this designer and I'm appalled by the quality of the material for the cost. This dress was the worst. It looked like a costume. It's more of a 'Cinderella' blue, quite bright, and it pulls and frays throughout. If you wore this and sat on or rubbed against anything textured it would destroy the material. Maybe this could be acceptable for a prom girl wanting to look like a Disney princess and only wearing it once. Other than that - I don't know who this fabric was chosen for. The cut is awful. It's pictured as a classic, a-line dress sitting the natural waste on the model. Despite the dress being a full size if not two sizes too large on me, it was still incredibly short waisted with the waist hitting above the bottom of rib cage. Sizing - so strange. It's like this dress was cut for a plus size petite woman with a large bust....but that only sort of works because it's also longer than shown on the model and I'm 5'8". It's cut huge (except for the length of the bodice for some reason) I normally wear a size 12 in street clothes and in button up shirts I size up to a 14 because of my chest (34-G). The size 14 in this was enormous. If I liked it, I would have re-ordered in the 12 expecting to need alterations to still take it in. I am impressed with the built in bodice with shaped cups that actually fit my bust in the 14. Construction - the zipper is trash. I hurt my hand trying to get it up past the waist even though the dress was huge on me. However the construction of the dress itself is the only thing this designer has done well. There is a built bodice that, when sized properly, would make this a very comfortable fit. The skirt has a lining that gives it volume without requiring hot layers. It's truly a shame that the rest of the dress and the cut is such garbage.

This is my 10th Mac Duggal dress I've tried. Every single one is made for people with a very large bust. Every inch of this dress fits except for the top. For reference I am a 32D and cannot wear anything from this company which is a bummer because they are so darn pretty and well made. I've tried to reach out to MD and all I get is a ai bot. Very disappointing. Number 9 and 10 are heading back.

I absolutely LOVED this dress. I loved the color the gold it was very well made not cheap feeling at all. It is a bit heavy but it’s because it’s good quality I love the material and the pockets was a bonus that just made it that much more exciting. It wasn’t what I was looking for but it ended up being exactly what I wanted for the occasion. Will definitely buy from this brand again dresses are well made and true to size.
