Wicklow Crop Chinos

The washed black color of these is just right for casual summer pants. The fit was good, although the rise is pretty low, which I wasn't expecting. I ended up exchanging them for the AG version, which are less expensive by $100, and have a little higher rise. The AG chinos have a bit longer inseam, so you can roll them up or down. These have a cute frayed hem, but you can't really roll them up. At the end of the day, these just aren't really worth $300. That's a lot of money for casual, summer pants. Frankly, the AGs at $200 are probably also too expensive, but you can feel better that you didn't spend $300. See how that works?

I took a chance ordering online, but followed size guide from Frank and Eileen site. First of all, the fabric is really really nice: it is a twill with stretch which keeps it neat looking. The rise is lower, but so flattering especially for those of us who are shorter waisted. I wish the inseam was a bit longer (I am 5’6” with longer legs). I have Vince and Nili Lotan pants similar to these and I would put them in a similar category. Yes, the price is up there, but the quality is definitely there and worth it to me as I will be wearing these a lot.

Good quality fabric, soft and lightweight perfect for warmer months. Love the fit of this lower rise pant. While I like chinos most have high rise waist which I find uncomfortable, these fit like a jean. Since I haven't worn these yet I can't comment on laundering or more importantly, how much stretch will occur. Love the look of the frayed cropped hem. I am 5'3", 106 lbs and the 4 is a great fit, hits above my ankle. I prefer to wear clothes loose and relaxed. As long as these pants don't stretch a huge amount I will be back for another color! I bought the faded black which works better for me than deep black. Will look great with boots or sandals. Expensive for sure but, if I consider cost per wear , they're worth it.

I’m 5’3” 118 pounds. Normally wear size 6 in pants but I ordered size 4 and they’re still too big. I loved them at first but even after washing once they are too big and I hate having to constantly yank up pants. I might try size 2 but these are so expensive I’m not sure they’re worth it even if they do fit perfectly. They hit at my ankle.

I bought these pants to wear on a warm weather vacation. The weight was perfect for in/out of the car and air conditioning, as well as for the airplane. I loved the fit when I put them on, but they seemed to stretch out during a 12-hr travel day. I expected them to hold their shape better for the considerable price - I bought on sale and they were still expensive for lightweight, cotton pants.
