Whitney III Waterproof Short Boot (Women)

I am so excited about these boots. Based on reviews, I sized up. I am usually a size 39, which ends up being an 8.5 or 9 in shoes. I sized up to 9.5 and they have some room in the toe now to allow for wool socks in winter. My feet, which are bordering on wide, fill the boot from side to side, but not uncomfortably so. What I love most about these boots is how easy they are to put on. I can step into them and pull the drawstring closed. They’re fabulous. They look chic and have the moon boot style without the bulk.

I recently bought two pairs of Sorel boots. These, and a totally different style (SOREL Joan FRWD Chelsea Boot) - both in 7.5. With these my toes are touching the toe box and the others I am SWIMMING IN. SHOE sizes should not be this hard, ESPECIALLY when it's the SAME EXACT BRAND. Sad because I was really looking forward to these, and thought these were cute. Part of it might be that they look super narrow which also took away the cuteness of a bulky boot. Huge miss that could've been spot on if Sorel knew what they were doing.

Recently bought these and another pair of sorels. I’m always an 8.5 in US and these fit more like an 8. I’m returning them for a 9 in hopes I’ll have more space for my toes. I’ll update my review when I get the 9. It’s a shame because us active mountain girlies shouldn’t have to sacrifice function for form. Sorel was always a great brand that balanced both of those factors so well. It just seems they’re more city and fashion focused.

I always have loved red boots. The color red brightens my step, and puts a smile on my face. When I saw these red booties online, I had to have them. I did have to tighten the laces quite a bit so the shoe would better hug my narrow feet, but the fit is good. As others have reported, the booties run small, so I ordered a size 9 instead of my usual 8-8.5. Waterproof and so fun.
