Eye Pods Eyeshadow Trio

First off, where are all these people getting free items for reviews and how does one get that? Pls, I want in! lol. As far as this product goes, I love Bisou! Unfortunately, I can go without the other two colors. I feel that way with the other 2 sets as well. I love the lighter colors but not the dark. Thus, its too expensive to buy a set when the only color I want is 1 out of 3. Please please just sell bisou by itself. It is a beautiful color.

Ok. I have all three sets of these WA eyepods. I used to struggle with keeping them from creasing or just disappearing off of my lids. I absolutely love them, but wouldn't use them much because of the staying power. NOW I'VE FOUND WHAT WORKS: use Victoria Beckham EyeWear eyeshadow sticks : either Trench or pecan color first, them WA over it. It stays all day and looks so amazing!

The colors in the pot are gorgeous but actual color payoff is difficult. I’ve tried various brushes, my fingers, with and without primer but the colors don’t really show up unless you use a lot of product. I was hoping for One and Done shadows but it’s a lot of work for a hint of color. Disappointed.

I was nervous about purchasing these because I had seen a lot of reviews about minimal ‘pay off.’ Once you break through that top layer though, there’s plenty of color to transfer! I use my pinky finger and the eyeshadow II brush and both work great. Perhaps if you prefer a very intense makeup look with eyeshadow, these wouldn’t work for you. (Btw I can still achieve a date night smoky eye just fine with these). But I’m guessing if that’s your makeup style, you’re probably not shopping WA either. They’re a bit like putty in the pot but go on & blend more like a powder.

These eyeshadows take a little bit of experimentation as they apply differently than others (my tip? Dip your brush in a bit of water and swirl around). That said, I like that there’s no fallout and minimal creasing. I got the nuits and it suits me perfectly - the main color is kind of a silver taupe purple color, not red as it appears in the photos. Had I not tried this at the store, I wouldn’t have bought it. I took off a star for the price and that you have to buy all three colors when I didn’t need a light shadow. I wish this brand would offer more shades for people with cool skin tones. I can’t wear the warm colors. Overall, I’ll buy this again as I love this brand and have a lot of their products (lip suede, blush, foundation and brushes).
