Waterproof Color Corrector Cream

This is my first corrector. I've always applied concealer (even those that claimed full coverage) and still ended up seeing the shadows under my eyes once I tilted my head down. After seeing a video about correctors and their effectiveness, I decided to plunge into buying one-and of course the best one. I do agree with others that it is small, but I don't wear makeup often (maybe once a week) and this stuff has lasted me for very long. It's creamy and easy to apply with a brush or fingers. Some people have said to just apply to the outer rim of your dark circle at the lowest dark spot to avoid patting on too much product, but I apply all over my dark circle because they're pretty bad. Even with a thin layer, it does its job. After the corrector, I layer the concealer over it and voila! No more dark shadows. I have light yellow-toned skin and I got it in Light Bisque. It's a light pinky shade. People have told me to go with the pink shades rather than the yellow or orange ones for my dark circles. I hope everyone understands that a corrector has no affiliation with your skin color. Someone with medium skin can also use light bisque depending on the color and darkness of their dark circles. You should carefully evaluate the color of your dark circles (blue, purple, brown) to pick the correct color and shade.

The lovely ladies at the Alderwood Nordstrom went through most of the department's available ways to correct my dark circles caused by deep set eyes. Side information: even when I'm well rested and there is no puffiness, my eyes look like I have dark circles because a shadow is cast on them from being so deep set. Bobbi Brown's corrector in light bisque was the winner...until I got back to my car and saw all the crazy creases where the corrector had settled onto my skin. It looked awful! I'm taking this back without even trying it with my usual routine as I really doubt there is a way to save this one. Thank goodness for easy returns at Nordstrom! My skin is oily and I have laugh lines/crows' feet. I don't mind the latter since it is part of my look, always has been - even when I was a child - but I do mind makeup settling into all the creases. The former may be the reason this product didn't work out. It felt heavy and when I rubbed my eye later in the evening, it still felt tacky and a little creamy. Much of it actually came off on my fingers. :(
