size guide is way off

I ordered an extra large because I wear a size 10 according to the size guide. It was way too big. I don’t know if I should order a medium, which is my normal size or a large. But if you wear a 10, do not buy the extra large. The coat itself is very warm. The hood has no drawstring and will probably be difficult to manage in windy conditions.
