Piece Dyed Denim Dress

First- this dress is HEAVY. Definitely not something for a suit case! But- I think it would be perfect for a fall day. And the terrific bonus of the heavy material is that it hides the bumps! Also, it has a nice amount of stretch to hold the curves but not be uncomfortably restricting. Works best on a tall person- it would be difficult to shorten. I really wanted to love this dress and ordered the “blue”. I decided when I got it that at my age, 54, a darker wash would be more useful to me so I ordered the “marlin blue”. Sadly, the two were exactly the same wash, the only difference was the “marlin blue” on the right has brass buttons and the “blue” on the left has silver. Also, I ordered the medium and the large in both washes and all four were the same color. Ultimately I concluded that I really needed a “medium and a half” to fit my curvy body properly and with the color being not as expected I returned all four.

This dress I wanted to keep but it is so short waisted on me, so I returned it. This actually is the 2nd one I bought. The first was a large and the bust was tight and waist/belt a good inch or more above my actual waist so it was returned and I ordered an XLarge. Again, same issue. Short waisted on me so returned it also. I liked the style, denim, color. Sad to return it. I'm 5'8" tall and 170 pounds.

This is a beautiful and super comfy denim dress that in general runs true to size. I’m 5’81/2 and 127lbs and got a size small. After much deliberation decided to return it because it was just about an inch too short in the torso for me. Taylored dresses usually don’t work for me because of the same reason. The waist will be higher than it should. Otherwise highly recommend it!
