Horrible product
These pressure cookers are useless. It takes for ever to seal despite replacing the rings . I bought two of these a few years ago and after a few months they simply wouldn’t seal. It is not quick to cook on these things by any means.

Good enough , not great
Does not work as a steamer, only pressure cooker. Ideally the valve assembly should be designed to also allow it to be used as steamer. See old Fagor cooker design.

A predictable, easy kitchen assistant
I bought this in 2015 when we were living at high altitude in Lake Tahoe. Soups, stews, beans, bone broths - the easy meals kept us warm and satiated. I just love this thing. I own two instant pots. I was gifted one and the other came from someone who didn't like it. I used it once and encountered the stupid burn warning and never used it again. Life is too short for that drama. Needless to say, they sit in the darkest corner of my biggest cabinet because I never use them but love pressuring food so much that I keep them 'just in case'. Dumb, now that I type that out. This fissler - it is my predictable, easy friend and key to many memorable evenings of nourishment and togetherness.
