Heavenly Tanning Elixir

As a melanoma survivor, I have to greatly minimize all sun exposure. However, I also have very pale skin and feel uncomfortable wearing summer clothing without a “tan.” I am a devoted user to all Vita Liberata tanners, and this new formula is no exception. When using this tanner, I always exfoliate in the shower before applying to dry, non-lotioned skin. I apply with a mitt. The tinted lotion helps guide in application, so I don’t miss any areas. After applying, I lightly lotion my hands, ankles, knees, and elbows which eliminates harsh lines. It is not orange at all. I make sure the tanner has dried completely before dressing. It doesn’t transfer to clothing. I leave on all day, a minimum of six hours. When I finally shower, the tint does wash off but the tan continues to develop afterwards. I’m very sensitive to the self-tanning smell. This lotion does have a VERY slight smell after about four hours of processing. However, it is extremely mild compared to every other tanning lotion I’ve used. My only complaint is the bottle itself. I travel to the lakes every weekend, and there’s no way to close off the pump. If it gets bumped in my bag, it will come out of the pump. I wish there was a feature to close it by twisting it. I cannot recommend this lotion enough.
