Catina Lace-Up Bootie (Women)

I tried in my size 7.5 and 8 without socks. 8 was way too big. Bought the 7.5 to try on at home with my socks. Way too much squeeze in right ball of foot yet heel lift with both boots. Going back with my socks to try the 8. I find the foot on this shoe to be accurate for length, but the feel is quite narrow. Not sure how this will play out. Uncomfortable removable footbed can be addressed after decision. In the meantime, why are the reviews for this bootie all about ballet flats?? Cannot find any reviews for the fit of this bootie in the first 25 reviews. How do they get mingled together??

so sad to return these. they were everything i wanted - flat, supportive, cute, even a bit witchy with the strap. but they squeak when you walk. get it together, vionic. if you’re going to sell shoes at this price, at least fasten the orthopedic insert so it doesn’t squeak. so disappointing. boooooo.

I ordered these to take to a work conference in Washington DC, where I needed something comfortable, warm, durable, and a little stylish without being a heel. They meet everything except the durable. Straight of the box they are a basic with a little extra flair and required no break in time. My feet can have pain walking long distances because of some old injuries - but with these, I had zero pain walking 15-20,000 steps per day on sidewalks in the city and conference halls. However, by day 3 there was a horrible squeaking noise that developed in the left boot anytime my weight shifted. About a week into owning them (only wearing them one more time after that) the other also squeaks horrendously. The last time I tried wearing them I walked across the meeting, I was facilitating and sounded like a cartoon character squeaking with a different drawn out squeak sound with every step. Not the professional energy I was going for. I may try taking them to the cobbler since they are very nice in aesthetic design and supportive, but this is definitely not the quality I expect from this brand (I have had many before and loved them), nor is it the quality I expect at the price point. I have unfortunately had $30 Target shoes last longer without quality issues like this. Unfortunate - if this is a one off issue I'd be happy to reevaluate it with a replacement pair (I would have bought them in green also if they had held up).
