Ashland Wedge Boot (Women)

I am on the fence about these boots. I wanted to love them, but the fit isn't comfortable. For a platform boot I expected them to be comfortable, especially since the platform is made out of soft material, but the bottom of the boot is just plain hard. Also, I can wear a 7.5 or 8 depending on the shoe. These feel a little tight with a sock on and a little narrow in the toe area. I have a narrow foot but a wide calf, so I am surprised that these do not fit well. Also the description says the boot is leather and man made upper, but no where on the boot does it say leather upper. The boot says made in China, so I am questioning whether any part of this boot has any leather upper. It is important because if it is leather it will loosen with wear and be more comfortable. On the positive side I love the way they look on my feet . That being said I am past the point of being uncomfortable to look cute, so I am leaning toward returning these, especially since the material used can't be confirmed.
