Weekend V-Neck Cashmere Sweater

I have purchased a couple of these at full price from Nords every year for a few years. This year there was a noticeable slip in the quality. The two new sweaters both started piling almost immediately and the bottom ribbing stretched out. I dry clean only, by the way. The same sweaters I had bought two years earlier are both in much better shape as are the ones I bought one year ago. I would not buy them again until Vince fixes the quality issue or cuts the price. Cashmere at this price should last a few years still looking good. (And for the record, I am a Nordstrom card holder from 1987!)

First I purchased this in black. Then I bought it in gray. This slightly over-sized sweater has a v-neck that is not so deep that you absolutely need a tee or cami underneath and has that wonderfully soft cashmere feel against bare skin. Obviously, it works with jeans, but I also wear it successfully with boots and a skirt. It layers beautifully under my light-weight coat when I need a bit more warmth. I'm impressed with the quality: The knit is slightly firmer than cheaper cashmeres and pilling has be minimal. If it came in more colors I'd buy another!
