Verrell Slip-On Sneaker (Women)

Tried on several brands in store before I tried on this Vince, due to the price point. As a Vince shoe lover, I knew I would like these, but had to comparison shop first. I tried the Caslon, Via Spiga, and Vans slide/slip on. All fit differently. For me, I have a narrow foot, so a narrow fit is important on a slide so that I can walk without the back heel section moving around (left and right) as I step. For the best foot/heel fit and the spongy comfort foot/heel support, I chose the Vince in the beige suede color. The suede is nice quality, and looks exactly as pictured (does not smooth when brushed in one direction, but rather has a multidirectional textured look). I usually wear a 9.5 in Vince shoes, and I chose a 9.5 in this shoe. The back of the shoe where the end of your foot/heel touches has a "lip" or an edge. You cannot buy this shoe too small or your heel will be uncomfortably crushing down on the back lip every time you step. One feature of this shoe that I did notice is the cut of the shoe runs the length of your foot, in a vintage kind of look. At the very top of the shoe, the edge touches your ankle bone when you walk. If the shoe was not made of a soft suede, this top edge of the shoe would cause a major blister. But, after wear, I did not have any problems. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance and vintage look of this slip on.

I was so excited to find these shoes online. They looked like the perfect Spring/Summer casual shoe. Then they arrived. They run at least one size too big. The vamp is so long they look like clown shoes on my feet. And the materials and quality of the shoe are really cheap. I realize They are only $200 but these are like something you’d pay under $50 for. I bought three pairs in different colors and they are all going back. This is happening much too often with Nordstrom merchandise lately.
