Godet Midi Skirt

This is a cute, versatile, yellow-ivory skirt that looks almost like Tulle from a distance. It has a side zip which I’m guessing one reviewer must not have noticed (or theirs was missing). I ordered XS Petite because I’ve found this brand to run a bit large; I’m 5’3” and have a 27.5” waist and 35” hips and I’d say this fit but it should’ve been too tight for me. People with smaller waists will be out of luck or will need to use a belt. Mine arrived nicely-hung in a box but it could probably use a steamer which I don’t own. The fabric is a light, floaty Lyocell (& Nylon) with a subtle linear texture, and a lining of Polyester crepe. Since it said Dry Clean only, I ultimately will be returning it but I think many will like it. I’ll probably keep Nic + Zoe’s Long Engagement skirt instead.

Fabric is pretty and flowy. However, there is zero (!!) give in the elastic waist so impossible to get over any curve of the hips. Also, the skirt was surprisingly more yellow, and not a favorite color for me.

I love that this has belt loops. It is light and flowy and flattering with my figure which is curvy. Classy skirt that won’t go out of style.
