'Velvet' Flat

After reading reviews with regard to sizing I ordered the size 9 even though my shoe size is 8 1/2. I had to return the 9 size shoes for the 8 1/2. Obviously people's feet fit into shoes differently so I don't believe it's so easy to solve the problem of sizing on-line. I am very happy with the shoes. It's hard to find a "flat" that doesn't gap along the sides, but this shoe fits perfectly and does not gap.

This is a beautiful shoe. I don't know if I would order up a half size - they really didn't seem that tight or small. I ordered both the nude and black when they were on sale and I couldn't be happier. The nude is the perfect color - more brown tones rather than blush tones, which is exactly what I was looking for.

I like this shoe. I actually find that it runs a bit small and I have wide feet. I ordered my usual 7 1/2 and I'm returning it for a 7. It's too loose in the heel. I can fit my whole finger in the space it leaves. I like the soft leather. It's the kind of leather that will stretch for wide feet.

Pros: It is a professional-looking shoe. Cons. The website suggested ordering up half size. I ordered my normal size and the shoe was too wide. I don't think it will fit comfortably in a smaller size, so I opted for the Sam Edelman 'Felicia' Flat.

I ordered the "brass gaucho nappa" -- which is a dark pinkish nude color. I was a little alarmed at the strong color as I took them out of the box, but once I put them on, they looked like dark nude flats! The shape is gorgeous and flattering, the gold heel is fantastic, and for me they fit true to size. I can tell they will need a little bit of breaking in -- they aren't perfectly comfy out of the box -- but I think that breaking in period will be short as the leather seems to be very high quality.
