Comfort plus...

WANTED: Comfortable with minimum break in time, supportive enough for long walks/hikes, versatile to wear with skirts/pants/jeans, waterproof shoe for a 4 week trip FOUND: Vessi Everyday Move Waterproof Sneaker! Wore these shoes almost every day while traveling for 4 weeks; averaged 18,000+ steps per day. Wear size 6.5 in hiking/running shoes and ordered size 6...were a little snug initially, but a perfect fit by the end of the first day. Good traction on easy to moderate hikes and in muddy conditions...love the ease of cleaning too. Added bonus - easy off and on going through airport security :-)

uncomfortable- no support

I was very excited about these shoes. I usually wear 9-9.5 in athletic shoes and ordered the 9 and 10. The 10 was much too large. The 9 seemed to fit ok, but when I tried walking outside briefly in them my feet started to go numb and became sore from the lack of support. These feel similar to wearing just water shoes and did not give me what I was looking for. Returning.

Rubs back of heel

These have a decent cushion footbed that feels good walking. I wore them for the first time to "break them in" and after only 2-3 hours I was feeling the back of my heels rub against the shoe (picture shows my red heel). I don't normally experience this friction with other sneakers but I'm willing to give these a chance. I wanted a waterproof sneaker that didn't look like a hiking shoe and these fit the style I was looking for. I purchased them for a semi-rainy trip to Alaska, luckily I have a few more months to break these in before then. Also love that this brand is AAPI owned

Waterproof! but uncomfortable

I bought these primarily for walking my dog since other waterproof shoes haven’t held up. Vessis are truly waterproof and it’s so cool to see water slide right off, especially in wet grass. However, the soles are SO stiff and uncomfortable - even after breaking them in my feet and back have started hurting after walks. I’ll probably keep them but only for quick errands when it’s super rainy. It’s a shame, I really wanted to love these shoes!

Yes, they are waterproof

I bought these specifically for my trip to Europe in November which is known to be rainy. Bicycled in the pouring rain in the Netherlands wearing these shoes, I was soaked but my socks & feet were dry. Not comfortable for all day walking, they need to improve on the cushioning in the soles. They are as described: Snug-fitting; will stretch and conform to your foot with wear. I do not recommend sizing up. I am a 7 1/2 & I purchased a 7 which fit me fine and no slipping in the heel. I would've rather given 3.5 star if that were an option.

Constricting

Agree with other reviews that the back of the shoe rubs really high on the back of my ankle. Also, just wearing the shoes to try on for size made my feet feel like they were losing circulation from the constriction/ stretchiness of the fabric (in one size larger than my usual size per sizing guide). The sole was bunched up for some reason and would not stay on the bottom of the shoe. Not comfortable on my feet and will be returning.
