Perfect Blazer
Normally I would not spend so much on a blazer but I needed something where I could sleep in my clothes and still look elegant and unwrinkled. I have the VB kennedy jacket and two dickeys so this made sense. The blazer is beautifully constructed. The low stance, single button is elegant, the tonal snaps and zips give wonderful shape, and edge without being obtrusive. The sleeves do run long but this is my preferred length, but due to the working snaps they look problematic to alter so be warned. I usually have a poison eye for unlined jackets but the front panels and sleeves are lined and the interior is beautifully finished. The bottom line is this jacket is so comfortable and elegant. It's the definition of polished. The neoprene is not like spring suit material, more like a heavy crepe with a smooth and satin finish. It looks elegant. Bonus, it's a true 4 seasons fabric. I'm so delighted that I will be trying the pants/leggings on soon to see if I can make it a suit. Sizing runs small. I'm 5'3" 115. I usually take a 4-6, in designers Vince and Helmut Lang 6, my Theory and Smythe jacket size is an 8. I took a size 8 and it fits perfectly. I do like my blazers slightly roomy, I want to be able to snap it closed and have it hang straight without pulling. If you want a more fitted look take your usual size. But bottom line..... love, well worth the hefty price tag!! Highly recommended.

Dissapointing in white
I bought this jacket in white. It looks fantastic from the front and horrible in the back. The back of the jacket is not fully lined, it has a weird scalloped lining only at the top and it shows through the back because of the light color. Have several other VB jackets that I love. Don't know why they did this weird lining on this style. Ended up returning it.

Gorgeous!
I have looked at the VB Scuba jacket for weeks. Based on reviews, I first ordered a size 6, yet returned it for a size 4 that fits perfectly. I am 5’4”, 130 lbs, 34D and the size 4 fit best all over, especially the sleeve length and shoulder width. This jacket is gorgeous ... the classic/timeless style, fit, wrinkle-free fabric, and weight of the fabric. The substantial black zippers on the two, welt pockets and the black snap button at the front closure of the waist give this jacket a classy edge that I think will be timeless. I’m very particular about buttons used on designer jackets, and I see too many oversized, metallic buttons for my taste (not necessarily on VB pieces, but in general). The sleeve length is especially important for this jacket, because the last of the four snaps on each sleeve is placed one inch from the end of the sleeve, so shortening the sleeve (if needed) is limited.

What Happened?
I have this jacket in navy and just ordered in black but am returning because the fabric seems less high quality. Is this a new, different fabric? It didn’t help that it arrived completely wrinkled unlike my navy version which never wrinkles...so I question how well it will travel which is what I bought it for. Also, the sleeves are just too long and too difficult to alter.

Excellent wardrobe staple
I have resisted purchasing this jacket because of price, plus the price of the dickeys that are part of the system. I finally invested in one because they do not go on sale and I believe the cut and styling will last for several years. It is a beautiful jacket; very well constructed and I really like the zipper pocket and snap details - they modernize the look of the jacket in a subtle way. It's quite stretchy and not binding. I did order a size 16, even though I'm typically a 12/14 in the back and arm length. I ordered three dickeys and I am pleased with the look of all of them. They are also well constructed and zipper/button into the coat perfectly. It will be an excellent wardrobe staple for everyday wear and especially for travel. Very satisfied.

So disappointed
I love the idea of this jacket, with the dickey option, and the construction was nicely done. Inside dickey zippers laid very flat, and added no bulk when the dickey was added. Outside zippers are cool/edgyy,a and also laid flat. The snaps on the sleeves were very high quality. But the material is awful. I expected “scuba” would mean a smooth fabric, maybe even modern neoprene, but this is a verrry polyester crepe. Arrived wrinkled and looked very matronly and cheap. Returned!
Plus sizing runs big. I should have ordered my regular size, as sizing up per the chart was a HUGE mistake... it’s off by 2 sizes.
