Leone Pointed Toe Bootie (Women)

These booties were perfection on, they fit like a glove, but I couldn't justify spending the money on them even on the Anniversary Sale. I had purchased the 27 Naturalized Felix Pointed Toe Bootie and this bootie in black on the sale; comparing side-by-side, the 27 Naturalizer had much higher quality leather. It was smoother and had a better finish - these were rough on the leather nap (aka the leather surface/texture) and felt more porous, which spells disaster for weather-proofing for winter. Also, the 27 Naturalizer had a rubber sole inserted into the leather sole, this one had an all-leather sole which isn't ready for winter weather and would have meant spending another $30-40 to have a cobbler put a rubber sole and reinforce the toe. I often buy designer brands and usually don't mind spending the extra money on cobblers, but Veronica Beard is not in my opinion a designer shoe. It's a mid-tier/entry-level designer at best. I opted to keep the 27 Naturalizer pair instead as it was both quality and priced well.
