Velvet Pleated Wrapping Sleeveless Jersey Gown

I loved the beautiful purple velvet color and the fit was great except for the length. I took it to a tailor who did a fabulous job in time for the wedding event. I absolutely LOVE the dress and made a choice to keep it even though it was really difficult to get the zipper to close. Because of the design of the dress, the pleated waistband fabric is extra thick and was VERY difficult to pull up over the waist because the zipper pull was too short and kept sliding out of my fingers. My solution was a combination of zipper lube, and flexible silicon grippers to hold onto the zipper pull. If the zipper pull was a little longer or had some texture, it would have made it easier to grip where the fabric was thicker. Fashion should be functional as well as beautiful!
