Recife Logo Sneaker (Women)

I had high hopes for these shoes. Taking them out of the box they are soooo cute and stylish. I love the look and the Velcro gives them a unique je ne sais quoi. Unfortunately the fit was so weird and awful. I’m a size 6.5 and so as recommended ordered the half size down which is a 37 or US size 6 (since these shoes don’t come in half sizing). My toes didn’t quiiiiite reach the front of the shoe and when I walked my heel would slip out of the shoe. In short the shoes were a but big. Not so much that I couldn’t wear them but with looseness was enough that it felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately the next size down was a 36 (which is equivalent to a U.S. size 5!). I crossed my fingers and decided to give the 36 a shot. As I feared the shoe was way too small. My toes were basically crunched up at the front. Weirdly enough, my heel was STILL slipping out of the shoe when I walked. There’s something about the design of the shoe, maybe it’s too wide in the back (?) that it just doesn’t fit narrow feet like mine. They’re going bad. Too bad- they’re super cute!

I ordered the size 40 because the app says that’s a 9. I’m a 9 1/2 and since these run wide and roomie, and others say to size down, I thought these would fit. Unfortunately, these are getting returned because the size 40 is actually an 8 1/2. This is the second pair I order and the sizes are just all over the place. Although they are nice looking sneakers, I’m over Vejas for the moment.

I am a size 8 and decided to go with size 38 based on reviews on other Veja shoes since there were no reviews available for the strap-on shoes. The concensus is that the lace-up shoes run large. I should have gone with 39. Also, the straps don't overlap across when the top all the way, mayne it's due to the top arch of my foot is high? Don't know, but I did not like this. These are going back and I'll try the lace up instead.
