Vanish Airbrush Primer

My usual skincare line discontinued the product I had been using to control shine and minimize pores for my very oily t-zone. I had never heard of Hourglass before and risked a "blind buy" of this Vanish primer after comparing close to 100 product descriptions. So glad to have discovered it, and hope it is here to stay! Vanish is the most effective product I have ever used; it really delivers as promised to control oil and minimize pores, and it feels great on my skin. I have been loyal to one skincare brand for more than 30 years, but the quality of this primer makes me want to try out the Hourglass skincare line.

I am in LOVE with this primer. It does such a good job of hiding my large pores, keeping my make up in place, and not oxidizing on my face throughout the day. Nor do I feel the need to use concealer alongside it unless I'm having issues with dark circles under my eyes. I am someone with combo skin and am oily in the summer and dry in the winter. I also have skin sensitivities due to menopausal/post cancer skin and this does not aggravate any sensitivity. My make up looks just as fresh after 12 hours as it does when I first apply it. Side note: I do use it along with the Hourglass Mineral Veil Setting Spray.

I have tried several face primers and none have been what I had hoped. I have a lot of sun damage and many primers on the market that advertise they will cover damaged skin from the sun. Hourglass is the very best I have ever tried. I use it with my regular foundation and I am very happy with the results.

Kinda regretted getting this after just buying the lancome face primer because I don't need 2 primers, but I pulled the trigger when it came back on stock. And it was the best decision ever. From 7am to 9pm my makeup has been flawless with no touch ups and that just blows my mind. I haven't had a primer ever make it pass the 6 hour mark for me. Considering I have combination skin. I get patchy dry skin around the mouth, forehead and sideburn area. Where as I get super oily around my nose area and it has not budge. And mind you I wear glasses. So I expect some creasing around the bridge of my nose like with my other primers before and that has not happened. If you're still thinking about getting this primer, get it. It is pricey but it is so worth every penny. Especially you don't really need a lot for the whole face.

At first I wasn’t sure if it was worth the price, but because of the other reviews I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did! It definitely creates a more smooth finish of my liquid foundation and powder. I also noticed that it prevented my makeup from creasing under my eyes- something it does when I don’t use this product. I would highly recommend.
