Buckle is Plastic
Super cute shoe, and amazingly comfortable. Sizing is in US sizes in spite of being an Italian shoe. So 7.5 = true 7.5US = 38 EU. The buckle is plastic. From the photo I was expecting metal. On the blue shoe, the white plastic adds more visual contrast than I was expecting. It "dresses down" the shoe to make it more casual. But unfortunately this means the shoes don't pair well with black or dark colors, and become limited to "summer only" (at least for me). I'm on the fence whether to keep or return.
