What it is: A duo of full-size sunscreen gels that offers broad-spectrum SPF 30 protection against the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays.

What it does: A nostalgic yet modern take on a beloved French Riviera icon. Developed in consultation with a panel of 11 devoted fans of the original Orange Gelée and modern beauty experts of the Vacation Orange Gelée Revival project, this sunscreen gel honors the legendary look, feel, scent and shine of the original while updating it with SPF 30 and skin-loving natural oils. The orange-tinted, balm-to-oil formula melts on skin and rubs in clear, delivering an enviable shine and a silky, moisturized feel.
The legendary French Riviera scent is revisited with notes of bergamot, clove, saffron, patchouli and sandalwood. The scent was developed by Carlos Huber, the award-winning fragrance designer behind the Vacation signature scent and ARQUISTE Parfumeur.

Key ingredients:
- Shea butter and candelilla wax: a plant-based wax-and-butter combination that softens skin and provides the formula's signature silky, moisturized feel
- Jojoba and maracuja: nutrient-rich oils that boost hydration and help support skin-barrier functions
- Vitamin E: a vitamin renowned for its ability to replenish sun-exposed skin

Set includes:
- Two full-size Orange Gelée Sunscreen Gels (3.12 oz. each)

How to use: To open, use the pointed end on the cap to puncture the seal. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours.

Not happy

I ordered this and paid an extra $20 to have it shipped by May 7. It did not get there until the eighth. I would like a refund for my $20.

I can tell they don’t have any ethnic people in the development department..this is classic blue magic baby oil sunscreen gel. The scent will trigger you to the old school press n curl of Sunday mornings.

Took Me Back

The scent of this sunscreen gel took me waaaay back. I opened it and was satisfied. I put it on my shelf and when I was packing for a vacation I noticed it had leaked all over the shelf. I checked and the top was secure and no cracks in the container. I will be returning….packaging can be almost as important as the product.

clove!

Very strong clove scent that intensifies as it warms on the skin. A little overpowering but mostly pleasant. I like the consistency, leaves skin so hydrated!

Do not believe the hype

Some of the reviews say, “If you know, you know.” I didn’t know, but now I know better. It’s very greasy and smells like a geriatric ward during the winter holidays (cloves and orthopedic rub). If this is a “throwback” item, I would estimate the target market is over 80, so they’re throwing it WAY back. Not sure if it works well as a sunscreen since I don’t want it on me. I guess I will let houseguests use it and assume I’m lavishing them with “luxury” sunscreen, lol.

Seems chemically like and they’re trying to drown it out with some type of scent but it still smells. It doesn’t remind me of any type of sunscreen scent at all. Reminds me of what a cream medication would smell like. The orange thick gel melts into skin and takes about 10-15 minutes to fully absorb (I tried on my arm) . Colorless but leaves a light sheen on skin. The scent is still there. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with oily type skin. I never tried bds tanning that was discontinued but this was evidently made in its place. The only reason I would consider keeping this is I have severe dry aging skin. It’s really too bad it doesn’t remind me of sunscreen or anything uplifting. The texture is really different, maybe I will get used to it. glad I didn’t buy two tubes.
