Branch is beautiful
Some fit notes on the 1x. The sleeves are shorter and land 1” before the wrist. The V neck is perfect depth and the length just right for a DD bust. Go a size up if bust is any larger. I layered it with the silk charmeuse tank. I have had no issues with mine piling, but have only worn twice. To not this sweater is light and fluffy. It does not get stuffy or overly hot. A winner!

Unacceptable shedding
I bought this top on sale a month ago - even on sale it was $270 CA. I'm an EF fan, so I have many, many pieces and always wash according to the label, but the quality of this top is not good. The colour and style are lovely, but it sheds beyond what is acceptable. After wearing it a second time, there were small bits of fabric/fluff everyone on the floor, on my bra and pants - when I wore it a third time, it was worse. I am so disappointed.

Great Color, Too Short for Me
The purple color is truly wonderful and the sweater is a wonderful lightweight season-bridging piece. Unfortunately, while it looked long enough in the photos, it's just to short in the torso for me. I am 5'9+" and am long-waisted. Unfortunately, I will be returning this due to a bad fit for me. Not as tall or with a low waist, go for it. It's quite nice!
