Minu Stroller

Aesthetically this is pleasing, it is very compact which I like, and the under compartment is very spacious for such a small stroller. That’s where it all ends for me. Unfortunately, the strollers weight limit is 50 pounds. My son is around 30-35lbs and the stroller is completely unmanageable to steer. Even with two hands, the wheels won’t turn properly without yanking the stroller a few times. The seat on the stroller keeps sinking in. I’ve already had it replaced, but now it’s doing it again. I take care of my things, especially expensive purchases, so there should be no reason for any of these issues. Now I’m back on the market looking for another stroller after I forked over $400 for this one. Highly disappointed in this strollers performance.

This stroller is FANTASTIC! It is very light weight, easy to fold and has a full recline. It is a change after making more than a dozen flight (domestic and international) with the Nuna Mixx2, big mistake. Once my little one passed the 20 lb mark it was definitely time for a lighter stroller. Traveling with the Mixx2 is hard especially in Europe with all the narrow street and spaces. This has a very narrow profile similar to the BabyZen Yoyo but with a slightly smaller price tag but the biggest difference was the seat comfort and the materials and sun shade. For a small pound difference I felt the higher quality fabric and over all plushness of the Minu clinched it. If you are tired of lugging the full size stroller and want a lighter yet still have the features this is the stroller for you. UppaBaby claims it fits in the overhead compartment on the plane, TBD will update once we give it a try, then again I might not want to check my bags to have the stroller in the overhead.

1 year later and I still love it! Purchased before a trip to Hawaii and had no issues. Unfortunately, Hawaiian Airlines wouldnt even allow us to attempt to put the stroller in the overheard cabin. I had previously purchased the Nuna Mixx 2 but ended up never using it because it was so bulky/heavy and was not convenient when using it alone. With the Minu, even my 68 yo father can carry it down a set of stairs using the convenient shoulder strap plus carry my baby. Not to mention it takes a minimal amount of space in the trunk. My daughter was also more comfortable sitting in the Minu vs the Nuna Mixx. I am waiting for them to come out with a snack tray and hope they can offer a stroller board option in the future! I wish I discovered this stroller before I spent all my money on a travel system that I barely used.

I’m a solo parent, and the first time I traveled with my child (then 8 months) I realized how unmanageable the Cruz was on a plane. I purchased the Minu before we even left our destination. It is perfect for our needs. It folds one handed (sooooo important when you’re alone and holding a child in one arm), folds compactly, and is light enough for me to manage when I have my kid in the other arm. It will fit in the overhead bin when I want to put it there. At 5’8”, it’s plenty tall enough for me. It’s got great storage and a huge canopy. It reclines enough for my kid to nap. At 35 lbs my kid still comfortably rides in it, and it’s easy to maneuver. We’ve been using this for 1.5 years and it’s held up well to lots of flights and general abuse from a toddler. I’m a bit of a baby gear nerd and love to discover new gear, but this has remained my most-used stroller. l would not hesitate to purchase again.

I've had several issues with my right shoulder, right hand and basically like my whole right arm just isn't doing what it needs to be doing. And since this is my dominant hand, that's a problem. Anyway, combining pain, poor posture (guilty!) and carrying around a 1 year old added up to more visits to the physical therapist then life has time for. Enter UPPAbaby Minu Stroller which hasn't miraculously cured my ailments but it's definitely helped in putting less stress on my arm. Here's the tea: Pros are that this stroller is indeed very lightweight. At around 15 pounds, lifting it with my left arm is pretty easy and the collapsing feature is A-MA-ZING! The ride is so smooth you can push the stroller with just one hand. Also, it's very compact and doesn't take much trunk space. For point of reference, I can stick it in the trunk of a compact hatchback and still have about half of the trunk space free. Side note: I have friends who do not have kids/don't want kids and they love pushing this thing. Cons are that although I love how easily the stroller folds up, opening it does require that you lift latch and even when you unhook it, sometimes the darn thing will just latch again. It's not a terrible issue but just more of an annoyance. Only other con is the quality of the additional/extended UV protector. For what feels like a sleek, well-crafted baby ride, the UV protector is really a bit flimsy. Overall, I would give this a 4.5. Happy strolling!
