G-LUXE Umbrella Stroller

I’ve been in Nordstrom’s several times trying to decide between this, the babyzen Yoyo and the Uppababy Minu. The babyzen has an awkward angled seat and the Minu is not as sturdy. I purchased this in Jake and I cannot rave enough about this new model. I have a vista and was tired of traveling with all the parts and bulkiness and needed something lighter but didn’t comprise my kids comfort. The wheels are absolutely amazing and the entire stroller is durable and all the features are amazing. I purchased a second one for my other baby. I would rather travel with two Gluxe’s than my vista. It’s comfortable to push and can be done one handed. However only flaw is on cobbled/pebbled walkways can be a bit rough. It’s by far a more superior umbrella stroller I’ve ever seen. These will make the cut for disneyworld. I sincerely hope this helps you mommas as far as picking the right stroller. Wish they came out with this new model even sooner.

This stroller was selected solely based on prior reviews read. Now that we have it, it's been a great help in allowing us to move around as we take all forms of transportation. I more so have compliments that complaints about this stroller. We've had it for about two weeks now and it has met our expectations and needs. Please see my lists below of the possible pros and cons to consider when thinking about whether or not you want to purchase this style and type of stroller. (These pros and cons are of my own and my husbands personal experience) Pros: Extremely easy to assemble. Light weight. The wheel are very smooth on the move. The recliner goes back pretty far. The canopy extends pretty far. The seating is comfortable. The strap to carry is convenient and sturdy. All components of this stroller is removable. It's small enough to move around when opened and when collapsed. Cons: It may be because my stroller is fairly new but I have a hard time closing the stroller with the triggers, it takes a while for it to collapse. The hook that locks the stroller in place is pretty hard to undo. The storage space underneath is not that spacious. It doesn't even really widen up well. The one step brakes are not easy to push down on with certain types of shoes on like sandals, etc. The cup holder is literally meant for cups 8-12 oz cups, nothing else will stay put in there. It's not useful on the stroller when in transit. (Example: A tall cup at Starbucks.) Overall, We'd give this stroller a four star because the pros out way the cons for us. We can work around the little nuisances but major issues like wear and tear, we're not dealing with that. Good thing is, Uppa Baby (the site) sells a lot of parts of this stroller and mostly any of the pieces that make up this stroller can be replaced. We do intend on buying the rain cover as well. Hope this information helps you make a sound decision on this great product.

I really wish I could give zero stars. I absolutely HATE writing negative reviews but this is necessary. I bought this stroller in June (obviously 2018) and the pull up mechanism to fold the stroller broke in early August. This is a $300 stroller and it doesn't fold after a month and a half of use???? I am currently in the process of going back and forth with Nordstrom/Uppa Baby just to get a stroller that works... after I paid $300.... and THEIR product is the one failing me! I will never buy Uppa Baby again and I absolutely regret purchasing this item because now I feel that I will be stuck with a terribly manufactured product regardless if they send me another one.

There’s not much to say about this stroller except that you’re paying for the name brand. The only thing I like about it is the size. It feels like a cheap Walmart umbrella stroller. Mine does not fold up so it’s being sent back. That aside, it feels wobbly, the seat itself is narrow to the point my tiny 16lb son slides down constantly. The foot rest does not stay in an upright position. The UV portion of the canopy flops down constantly. The lack of a peek a boo window is also annoying. This thing is just a major fail. If the price was $30, it’d be worth it.

I was looking for a travel stroller for my 18 month old for an upcoming trip to Italy. Being an UPPAbaby owner (MESA & Cruz), I bought the G-Luxe as well as a GB Pockit Plus to "test run". Both got great reviews on various sites, but I was leaning more towards the Pockit since it would be way more compact for both planes, trains, and in cafes. There was no way my toddler (who is about 35 lbs) was comfortable in the Pockit, but he was great in the G-Luxe! I kept the G-Luxe; it did over 100 miles in Italy and my son was content both riding and sleeping in it for the trip. It handled the small, narrow cobblestone streets with ease and wasn't hard at all for my husband and I to pick up with my son in it if there were stairs. Since it stands upright, it also wasn't a pain for us to store it either in a corner or under a table when we would go to eat. A few weeks after returning from Europe, I was putting the stroller in my car and one of the canopy sides snapped; it was obviously a freak thing since it has been folded hundreds of times prior. I emailed UPPAbaby's customer service and within 4 days, I had a replacement canopy at my house. I love all of their items that I own, and more importantly, their customer service is always there and willing to help if you do have any issues. I'd also highly recommend the Travel Safe bags UPPAbaby offers; I bought one for my G-Luxe since I had one for my Cruz. Luckily I did because after gate checking with Lufthansa, the Travel Safe bag had a giant rip on one side but my stroller was perfectly fine!

We just got the G-LUXE in and I'm so glad we did! My kiddo is tall for her age and I love that she has tons of room to grow into it -- she will get to use it for a long time since it has a generous 55lb weight limit. I was hesitant to purchase as reviews said it was so difficult to close but I haven't found that to be the case. As long as you lift the two rings simultaneously with your fingers then push on the button to release and fold, it closes great. The button is really impossible to push if you're not already pulling on the triggers slightly so maybe that's the issue people are having? Not sure. Either way, not an issue for us! I wish it was lighter BUT I realize that in order to have a sturdy umbrella stroller, it really needs to have some weight to it. I just want an easy car stroller to keep in my husband's truck or toss in a friend's car if we're headed somewhere. We have the UB Vista and the Bugaboo Donkey but they're far too bulky for a quick trip or in a small trunk with a packed car of friends. We plan to try it out at Disneyland -- we're pass holders and go often. We typically take our Thule Urban Glide (jogger) or BOB Duallie but they're both long/wide and hard to use in packed crowds. I think the G-LUXE will push well but have a smaller footprint that's easier to maneuver at Disney. The black "Jake" color is sleek and the canopy is a serious upgrade from the previous G-LUXE. The single front wheels are also an upgrade from the previous version. If you want a solid umbrella stroller that will last you years and several children, this is it!
