Ultima Hooded Jacket

3 stars for sizing. I do not get where people are saying there is room to layer. I am 130 lbs, slim build and usually where a size SM or MD in jackets. I ordered the MD in this too get a little extra room and it just fit. The arm sleeves are snug (you cannot pull up) which allowed for only a thin shirt underneath. The chest fits but anything more than a slim material and it becomes uncomfortably tight. The jacket itself is nice and well made. I wish the OR was a bit smaller on the chest or put the emblem along the hem or shoulder. I am afraid to order a LG jacket because the waist and hips will probably be too big.

This is one of my all time favorite OR pieces (and I have a lot). Fit is great with room to layer, tons of stretch and very good weather resistance for a softshell. Easily sheds light to medium rain, and even if it is eventually soaked in a downpour you stay warm because of the brushed interior and high wind resistance. I have also run in this in the fall and winter without overheating. It packs small and has become the first thing I reach for when gearing up to go outside. Highly recommend!

I first grabbed the Zest color for visibility for bike commutes, then picked up the black as my go-to everyday layer. It will be coming with me on road trips and weekend adventures when I need a jacket that can handle anything: durable, weather-resistant, great-fitting, and super comfortable! Honestly, I’d wear it for a spring ski day or a fall mountain bike ride. It really does it all. If you don’t already have a soft shell in your rotation, this is the one to add. You won’t regret it!
