Shasta Gore-Tex^® Waterproof Boot (Women)

This is the second pair of waterproof winter boots that I have purchased from UGG. I love that there is a strap in the back so you can pull to get your foot in there because the boot is so tall. I also love the thickness of the sole and the Vibram exterior because I am that much more insulated from the cold ground. The interior is very comfortable. I did a test walk with cotton socks. (I would not recommend cotton socks) I love toasty feet, but toasty feet morph to sweat and sweaty feet get cold I live in Alaska, and Reynads is an issue for me. I’ll use a Merino wool blend or some sort of wool sock in the future and everything will be amazing.

Ugg is stepping up their game! These boots are warm, comfy, waterproof (though you may have to tighten the laces to keep shoes from falling in the top), and hopefully durable. I wore them for the first time today and got multiple compliments, and they kept my feet dry and toasty for over five miles of walking in wintry weather. I purchased them in black.

I am trying to decide if I should keep or not. My trip is upcoming and the size below what I ordered is now sold out. I ordered women’s 8 / men’s 7 but does not include European sizes in description online. When my order came, it said women’s 8 / men’s 7 / EU 39.5 I am typically a 37-38 EU. Also, I’m converse shoes I wear a men’s 4.5/5 (converse known to run bigger) but the fact that I have a men’s 7 is concerningly larger. Running shoes I usually do Women’s 8 for space for foot to expand. Being that this is a boot, I will wear a thicker sock making my EU size needed about 38-39. That said the quality is insanely good, the lining is fantastic and width is great. I will feel secure when I wear to Finland. I will probably order the women’s 7 / men’s 6, if it comes available.

These boots feel like you are wearing slippers, they are so comfortable. I hate socks so the foot area being entirely shearling is awesome. My feet don't get cold at all. I was unsure about the platform at first (and wish it maybe wasn't so high) but the comfort made me keep them. I did have someone call them moon boots, but they look like ski boots to me. They are easy to get on after you break them in a few times. I do find I need to sit down to get them off and with the rear pull strap this helps a lot. Over all I am so happy with these. So nice to have dry feet and even in slush these are completely waterproof. I found them true to size. I am a women's 10 with a slightly wider foot so with these being unisex the width was perfect. I got the black and feel they will last a long time.
