Trouser Track Pants

These pants are amazingly comfortable. Think sweats but work appropriate. I’m on the short side (5’2) and they fall right over my shoes. Luckily they don’t drag so no issues with tailoring there. You can size down for a snugger fit since they run a bit large, or stay true to size if you want a bagger fit around the legs.

These pants by City Blues are heavy and well made. The fabric is a smooth and buttery knit that drapes gorgeously and looks and feels rich! I ordered two sizes: an 8 and a 10. The size eight arrived first, and when I tried it on, I realized that it was at least two sizes too big. I usually wear a size 8 in pants, and always order a medium. When the size 10 pants arrived, I sent them back immediately without trying them on. The pants were too big in the waist and in the leg. Plus, the pants are stretchy! I am now waiting on the size 4 that I ordered, and I hope that one will fit me perfectly.

Though I wish these were a bit longer - just another 1-1.5 inches - I do really like them. Cute, comfy, don’t wrinkle much. And the 4 pockets are awesome, especially that the front 2 zip shut. I normally wear 14-16 in trousers, though in City Blues almost always 16. I got these in 14 on a whim, but they’re still too large. Within just a few hours of donning for the first time, staying mostly around the house, they began to stretch a LOT, giving me the dreaded sag! I liked that they were suddenly longer, but prefer not to have extra fabric hanging off my booty haha… so I’m ordering a size 12 & crossing my fingers that they’ll fit. If not, I’ll have to say goodbye to these adorable track-style pants.

I bought these a while back and when I tried them on they fit perfectly. They started out feeling just a little small at the waist, but they did stretch out some and now they're perfect. I put almost every piece of clothing I wear into a mesh bag when washing, so these were no different. I hang them to almost dry or completely dry, then put them through the steam cycle (not in the mesh back) back in my dryer and they look just like new with no wrinkles. I think I'll buy a size bigger next time? I'm not sure. They literaly felt big when I buttoned and zipped them and then they didn't feel too small at all afterwards. And btw - I'm not EVER going to tell a retail facility how much I weigh. My husband doesn't even know. We've been married for almost 30 years. Doesn't matter to him, shouldn't matter to Nordstrom. You'll see below that I weigh 10 lbs.
