The Power of Brushes® Brush Collection Love

I’m honestly surprised by the less than stellar reviews of this brush set. I bought the TM Power of Makeup set along with this set of matching brushes and think they are fabulous—high quality and a set of brushes I will use every day. I bought a Chantecaille set last year in a roll up case and didn’t find the brushes as versatile as the ones in this set (that happens to me a lot—I buy a set and find I only use 3 out of the 5 brushes). Plus this case is definitely more fun and has pouches for extra brushes (which my Chantecaille case didn’t). As for the comments about the dual sided brush not fitting in the case easily—-since I like to keep the plastic tips on the brushes to keep the case clean I noticed the plastic tip didn’t go on the one side easily so I simply cut a v shaped piece out of the plastic so the bristles went into the plastic easily and didn’t get misshaped. Once in the plastic the brush fits easily in the case (exactly how my set arrived). Problem solved. Overall I love the variety of brushes included, the quality of the brushes and the versatility of the case. Definitely a great value!

Nice brushes but case design not compatible with dual ended brush, does not go in pocket. Still deciding if this is a deal breaker.

I purchased the Power of Skincare kit at the anniversary sale and then purchased the Power of Makeup Planner shortly afterward. They are the perfect answer for the 50+ year old women who need some direction around how to use product. Plus, they're super convenient for travel - which is why I purchased the brush set (and I like the coordinating cases:-). The brushes are very high quality (I usually use Bobbi Brown). I especially like the powder brush, the stipple brush and the eye blending brush. The others are fine - no real differentiators, except they fit nicely in the kit for travel. I took the advice of one commentator and just sliced the plastic tube for the petite complexion enhancer so I can put it back on easily and protect the case. I have to admit, it was a bit of an eye candy purchase - but I am very satisfied.

I am a lifelong makeup lover, and believe in GREAT tools to apply products. Though I have a phenomenal set of non-TM brushes, I did not yet have travel brushes. I was in a mood while traveling one day and went shopping and met Joi. (Side note: Go to Fashion Show in Las Vegas and ask for Joi, who works for Trish McEvoy. She is AMAZING and THE very reason I am now a TM fan. Go see Joi...you will learn so much and will not meet a nicer and more knowledgeable human being!!!) Joi and I started talking and she applied TM’s products and gave me a great intro to Trish's background and then TM’s brushes. OH MYyyyyyyyyy. This kit (and the anniversary makeup set in the amazing planner) started my love for Trish McEvoy. Specifically, her brushes are SO good that I have neatly tucked away all my other brushes (I even gave away one set!!!). The quality of brushes in this kit is PHENOMENAL and I am sooooo happy with this set. And the best part? I can grab this little cute holder AND my brushes and toss in a suitcase without it taking up too much room. This kit is a winner (I have since added at least six more TM brushes to my kit and have not looked back!) and trust me, you will want it in your life for home AND travel!!!! Trish McEvoy brushes are definitely great quality Love the case. My one complaint is that the duel ended brush doesn’t store nicely. The bristles get messed up and don’t lay flat.

Most beautiful case ever. The outside is beautiful, the inside lining is pretty and silky and fun. HOWEVER, the actual brushes just dont seem to do the trick to justify the price. I also agree with other review that the dual ended brush doesn’t have a good fit within the case. I really wanted to keep this set simply on account of the princessy packaging, but if the brushes were in a ziploc bag they would’ve been no more impressive than any other middle of the line option. Returned.
