My 95 year old mother, who has edema and crooked toes tried on 15 pairs of shoes and these were the best for her. She is a small fragile person and the orthopedic shoes tend to be too heavy and bulky. Three cheers for Pro pet shoes and thank-you to Nordstrom’s for letting me order and return all those shoes postage free as I couldn’t bring her to the store.

This is my second pair. I can speak of the 5M and also 6W as I need both. Manufacturers must be different for the two. Insoles are different dependant on which Mfg you get I think. One has a more comfortable insole than the other. Also the strap length is perfect on the 5m but 6w too short to comfortably close so will need to take to a shoe repair to see about adding velcro or length ening the strap. Otherwise will be insanely tight. (And I am a petite person with no foot swelling.) This inconsistency is most likely why some will say it’s comfortable and some will say its not. Propet and Nordstrom needs to pay attention to that inconsistency that most would not notice without needing two different sizes. Thats the difference between a quality insole and decent strap length with not. One Manufacturer is cutting corners. Keeping the shoe and tweaking it myself also using my own insoles. Everything else is great. Very cute shoe. 6w is just a little smaller than an actual 6w and I will stretch it myself. It does not have a bulky look and looks almost like a 6 regular. 5m size is true to size.
